Siegfried & Roy Dazzle Crowd at World Magic Seminar Awards Program
In a theater filled with fellow magicians and fans of the magical arts, Siegfried & Roy brought down the house yet again.
A surprise appearance by Roy, standing at Siegfried’s side, highlighted the 29th annual World Magic Seminar Awards Program February 23 at The Orleans Theater in Las Vegas.
Siegfried & Roy were on hand to award two very special honors: the Gold Lion’s Head Award, which goes to the “People’s Choice” winner of the World Challenge Invitational Stage competition and the exclusive SARMOTI Award to the most impressive new magic talent.
The greatest magic of all, however, came when Roy awed the capacity crowd by walking off stage following the presentation, giving his colleagues and fans a glimpse of the remarkable progress he continues to make.
“It was an honor for us to be there to be part of this special event,” said Siegfried. “Roy wanted all of our friends in the audience to see how far he has come.”
Earlier, Siegfried and “Evil Queen” Lynette Chapell presented Belgium’s Rafael with the Gold Lion’s Head Award. Siegfried & Roy then presented a group of young magicians from School of Magic in South Africa, who have created a remarkable teaching and support facility there. Both awards came with a $5,000 cash prize.
